Wrong section, but I really need some different answers to this fitness question?

I’m going on a week long cruise in Spring Break, one of the last weeks of March.
I’ll be in a bikini for most of the day probably and would like to feel comfortable in it.
I figured just 10 pounds would help to slim me down, flatten and tighten, you know?

I’m 16, 120pds, and 5’5. I have moderately hard swim practice for an average of 1 hr every week day after school. I’ve recently started a jogging/running program for 30 min on the treadmill everyday. As a New Year’s resolution I’m cutting out pop and junk foods of my diet. Because I am an athlete, I can’t just eat rabbit food all day and expect to have any energy for practice. I needs carbs and calories to burn, but from now on I plan on eating the healthier side of those.

Please give me some ideas on how to lose those ten pounds by late March.

I don’t really have a lot of time to do extra exercises, I figured that run on the treadmill would be enough added onto my swim practices. I’m exhausted at the end of the day, home by 6 or 7pm and go straight to the dinner table then homework then crash to sleep. I’ll start running in the mornings before school. My only off day are Sundays and those are usually spent taking it easy.

Anything is appreciated. But keep in mind I can’t go to stores and stock up on diet foods or do 300 crunches a day. I just need some free, do at home, slim-down tips.

Thank you!

Can’t join any groups like weight watchers or whatever. I’m 16 people, not fat. I just am looking for ways to slim my midsection.

Can I really lose 43 Pounds in 8 Weeks?

Hi Guys,

I can see Weight Loss Questions planted across this entire website – but none actually answer my question. I’m looking for reassurance that both the diet and exercise that I’m doing will work.

My Diet consists of:

Morning:
Scrambled Egg White, Oat Meal, Chicken and Ham

Snack:
Grapes

Lunch:
Sweetcorn and Meat Salad

Snack: Banana

Dinner: Tonnes of Vegetables with Meat

My Daily Activities, Calorie Deficit, and High Intensive Exercise equals a total of (2000+1500+1000) 4500 Calories burned.

I think I do lose weight quite fast. At the beginning of the week I weighed in at 17 stone 3 Pounds, and at the end I now weight 16 Stone 9 Pounds, but I’m not too sure if that’s a fluke – I’m 18 and 6ft 3.

Does that sound realistic? My goal is to drop down to 190 pounds in 10 weeks – having 1 week just gone. Any helpful tips would be great.

Thanks In Advance!
I’m very experienced in this subject. I just wanted to know if it was possible, in terms of your opinions. Please, just opinions; no hate mail or links to ‘Made for AdSense’ Sites.

A few questions about weight loss and motivation, please help, I really need to do this!?

Ok, my plan is as follows…

DIET – I intend to follow the slimming world diet on all green days as I’m a veggie.
EXERCISE – 30 mins yoga each morning and 20 mins on an exercise bike with the arm workout bit (not sure what its called) so it’s a full body workout – and I’m going to up it 2 mins every week.

I currently weigh 230lbs (I’m looking to get to 185 which for my build and height is the higher end of normal, but it’s my first goal!!) and I’ve always been told fatter people lose weight quicker – and it’s unlikely to be water weight as I drink 2 – 2.5 litres a day already!!

Can anyone help with some great motivation tips? (I always end up giving up on myself!)
And can anyone estimate my weight loss? (such as how much I can lose per week, whether it’ll be quicker to start as I’m fat, how much I should aim to have lost by 31st December – end of the year sounds like a plan lol!)

Thanks for your help and info, even if you can only answer a query or 2 not all of them it’s all really helpful :]

Thanks guys and gals
xxxxx

I really want to lose 30 pounds in at least 6 months or less. Help?

I always wake up in the morning to run for 40 min. on the treadmill and after school I run for 20 min. But lately i’ve been unable to drag myself out of bed. I am so sleepy that sometimes I sleep through my alarm clock, it’s really annoying because I go to sleep early. And the rest of the day, I feel kind of bad that I missed out on exercise. I really need some tips on being able to wake up and actually stay awake so I can exercise. Plus tips on losing weight would also be helpful.

REALLY quick weight lose tips?

ok, this friday is prom and i got this beautiful dress. if it was a cheap wal-mart dress, i would have bought something fitting, but it’s a size 0 Chloe and I’m a size 4. HELP!!! i dont care if it suffocates me, i just need to lose a few inches, so it doesn’t look that bad. i opted for a body wrap, but my mom was like, “NO WAY”, so now i’m optionless.

i’m exercising like ****, i’ve been running up and down the stairs every morning and i haven’t used the elevator at school, except for making out, and i’ve crossed out junk food and fried food from my diet, but the dress is still tight!!! god, is a size four fat??? i dont think so?

I would really like to start getting into a jogging routine but…?

Okay, first of all…yes I want to start jogging, but I’m not sure if I should start walking first (since I haven’t had an exercise routine in a few months and have been doing absolutely nothing as far as exercise goes) or if I should just start jogging for a few minutes a day and slowly build that up and eventually jog for a lot longer?

I’m also not sure when I should go, I’d rather no one see me, especially since I’m just starting out…so I’m think early, early morning. It’s just…I’ve tried this a few different times and set my alarm for about 5:30 AM (another time at 6 AM, but I want to go when it’s a little darker out), but could not get myself to get up and actually do it. So I guess I’m lacking motivation as well.

So does anybody have any tips or suggestions? I would really like to get into jogging and exercising a lot more. I think it’ll really build up my confidence and self-esteem, plus I’ll be doing something good for my body.

REALLY TOUCHING STORY!!! MUST READ IT!?

Change Your Thinking

It will take just 37 seconds to read this and change your thinking..

Two men, both seriously ill, occupied the same hospital room.

One man was allowed to sit up in his bed for an hour each afternoon to help drain the fluid from his lungs.

His bed was next to the room’s only window.

The other man had to spend all his time flat on his back.

The men talked for hours on end.

They spoke of their wives and families, their homes, their jobs, their involvement in the military service, where they had been on vacation..

Every afternoon, when the man in the bed by the window could sit up, he would pass the time by describing to his roommate all the things he could see outside the window.

The man in the other bed began to live for those one hour periods where his world would be broadened and enlivened by all the activity and colour of the world outside.

The window overlooked a park with a lovely lake.

Ducks and swans played on the water while children sailed their model boats. Young lovers walked arm in arm amidst flowers of every colour and a fine view of the city skyline could be seen in the distance.

As the man by the window described all this in exquisite details, the man on the other side of the room would close his eyes and imagine this picturesque scene.

One warm afternoon, the man by the window described a parade passing by.

Although the other man could not hear the band – he could see it in his mind’s eye as the gentleman by the window portrayed it with descriptive words.

Days, weeks and months passed.

One morning, the day nurse arrived to bring water for their baths only to find the lifeless body of the man by the window, who had died peacefully in his sleep.

She was saddened and called the hospital attendants to take the body away.

As soon as it seemed appropriate, the other man asked if he could be moved next to the window. The nurse was happy to make the switch, and after making sure he was comfortable, she left him alone.

Slowly, painfully, he propped himself up on one elbow to take his first look at the real world outside.
He strained to slowly turn to look out the window besides the bed.

It faced a blank wall.

The man asked the nurse what could have compelled his deceased roommate who had described such wonderful things outside this window.

The nurse responded that the man was blind and could not even see the wall.

She said, ‘Perhaps he just wanted to encourage you.’

Epilogue:
There is tremendous happiness in making others happy, despite our own situations.

Shared grief is half the sorrow, but happiness when shared, is doubled.

If you want to feel rich, just count all the things you have that money can’t buy.

‘Today is a gift, that is why it is called The Present .’

The origin of this letter is unknown, but it brings good luck to everyone who passes it on.

Do not keep this letter.

I pray you will forward it to all your friends to whom you wish God’s blessings.

Energize Your Exercise Routines With These Really Simple Tips

Tip no. 1

Find Some Things to Do That You Really Enjoy.
Doing exercise routines does not mean you have to spend boring hours at the local gym day after day. Also, you don’t need to buy expensive exercise equipments which you’ll never use anyway. Anything that gets your body mobile is much better than doing nothing at all. A simple exercise that you can do almost anywhere is walking. Jogging is another example. Whenever you play with your children in the yard, you are actually doing some exercise. Other things which you can easily do and which can be a form of exercise are gardening, cleaning your house, taking a walk in your neighborhood, climbing stairs, and swimming.

Tip no. 2

Always Schedule Some Time To Do Exercise. Sometimes the only way we could insert some exercise time into our busy schedule is to think of it as going to an important meeting. Many of us go through our daily lives taking care of other people and too busy earning money that we often deny ourselves of even a little free time. However, with a little effort we could make exercise become a part of our daily routine. Once we’re able to start doing it, we’ll find it much easier to do on a daily basis. We just have to determine which is the best part of the day for us to exercise. This varies with different people. Some people might want to do it in the afternoon. You, however, might prefer doing it in the morning, when you’re still feeling fresh. What is important is that you do it. As much as possible, do not let a day pass without doing an exercise. Why not ask a friend to do exercise with you? Sometimes you are much able to do regular exercise if you’re doing it with a friend.

Tip no. 3

Invigorate Your Day With a Simple Exercise. Feeling too tired to even to do a simple exercise? Try to do it anyway. You will be surprised at how a simple effort to exercise can make you feel energized and much more invigorated even after the exercise. Specially when you feel stressed, which is one of our body’s biggest energy sappers, a litter exercise can go a long way in helping to relieve your stress.

Tip no. 4

Reduce Boredom by Mixing up Your Exercise Routines. Things that you do over and over again are bound to become monotonous, and, what’s the word, oh yes, routine. Same thing goes with exercise. As soon as exercise becomes just one of your daily routines, you’ll become too bored with it that you’ll likely stop doing it. To avoid this, you need to change your workout routine. Once you get tired of running, try walking. If you get tired walking, start cycling. If you’re doing weight lifting, try to alternate this with some cardiovascular workout during the week. If you enjoy sports, why not go bowling with your friends. Or a game of tennis every now and then. Basketball is also a very good form of exercise.

Tip no. 5

Never Start Your Exercise Without Warming up First.
Whatever kind of exercise routines you choose to do at a workout session, always start with stretching to warm up your muscles. Your muscle tissue are less likey to incur any damage during exercise if you first do some stretching. Stretching also helps to pump up your heart and keep your blood flowing. Even just a few minutes of stretching will go a long way in making your exercise invigorating and enjoyable.
