Wrong section, but I really need some different answers to this fitness question?


I’m going on a week long cruise in Spring Break, one of the last weeks of March.
I’ll be in a bikini for most of the day probably and would like to feel comfortable in it.
I figured just 10 pounds would help to slim me down, flatten and tighten, you know?

I’m 16, 120pds, and 5’5. I have moderately hard swim practice for an average of 1 hr every week day after school. I’ve recently started a jogging/running program for 30 min on the treadmill everyday. As a New Year’s resolution I’m cutting out pop and junk foods of my diet. Because I am an athlete, I can’t just eat rabbit food all day and expect to have any energy for practice. I needs carbs and calories to burn, but from now on I plan on eating the healthier side of those.

Please give me some ideas on how to lose those ten pounds by late March.

I don’t really have a lot of time to do extra exercises, I figured that run on the treadmill would be enough added onto my swim practices. I’m exhausted at the end of the day, home by 6 or 7pm and go straight to the dinner table then homework then crash to sleep. I’ll start running in the mornings before school. My only off day are Sundays and those are usually spent taking it easy.

Anything is appreciated. But keep in mind I can’t go to stores and stock up on diet foods or do 300 crunches a day. I just need some free, do at home, slim-down tips.

Can’t join any groups like weight watchers or whatever. I’m 16 people, not fat. I just am looking for ways to slim my midsection.

15 years old and I need serious help with my dieting and working out. Help?


Foods-
Mornings either I eat nothing or I eat something very small like mini muffins and such.
Lunches I eat either what’s provided for me at school or if at home I eat stuff like around 10 pizza rolls.
Dinner I eat basically until I am almost full

I neeeeeeeeed some dieting tips.
And how calories do I need to take in?
I weight around 155 lbs. and I’m 5’0″
15 years old and the most of the fat is
around my thighs, biceps, and stomach.

Any work out exercises that I can do make
these places in tip-top shape?

I need jogging advice please…?


I never really run and decided to start doing it,because i dont want to end up a fat hairy slob in twenty years from now,like many other.
I went out in the morning,i ran about 1 km,maybe a little bit more. But it was really difficult,i had to stop 3 times,because i could harldy breathe and fellt like vomiting.
Im 21,a bit tall,not too sporty,but i do workout with pushups and ab exercises allmost every day. Seems like im really not resistant to jogging,its quite an effort for me.
Could you please help me out with some tips or advice?

:) Need some information on being a beginner runner?


I always loved running, but I stopped exercising and I got *uhm* lazy.
So how do you start again?
I recently saw a girl run like I mean MILES! non stop. I was just watching her (I was walking) and she had to pass me like…. 80 + times (while I completed a mile)
So how do you get to some thing like that? I don’t plan on being a Full fledge competition runner I’d like to do marathons, but I’m more into just being able to run a mile +
I cant run from the back of the house to the door with out bending over and gasping for air (exaggerating obviously) But you get what I mean. :D

Any tips?

Btw, I’m almost 15, 5’10 in the morning 5’9 and a little in the evening, 175 (losing weight still)

Any help please ??

I need help shedding a few pounds before summer? Please Read!?


I’m 12 years old and like a little off the skinny border i’m not considered “fat” i’m just a little off the skinny as i would think of it, and i want to lose like 2-5 pounds for summer which my last day of school is on the 10th so like loose some before then and in the first few weeks of summer. I’m in middle school now and since there is way more guys i know that think i am skinny i don’t wanna be embarrassed! So can you help me find some exercising i could do after school and in the morning of summer (i was thinking jogging around my neighborhood) stuff like that. Also i’m a big sweets person and i need a healthier diet so could you help me with that, you know like stuff that tastes really good to me but not nasty (i need snack tips too, because when i come home from school i’m always hungry so i need some healthy snacks to eat.) Also maybe some breakfast help too so that helps me loose weight because i usually eat poptarts which is LOADED with sugar so cheerios maybe because i have those at my house.

i need to consistently lose 3 lbs a week, is this a good plan?


im 5″1 (5″2) on a good day, 20 years old and 174 lbs (yes, i know i am overweight) and my goal weight is 120-130 (this is what i used to be in high school and i grown height wise at all). i am also a vegetarian.
i plan on:
drinking only water
cutting out fast food
no more sweets (or at least daily sweets)
exercising daily (i walk 5k every morning as it is, i am hoping to bump it up a bit)

and thats really all i’ve got so far :)
is my goal realistic? are there any other tips or ideas that i could use?
help is greatly appreciated!
also, the reason i would very much like to be at or around my goal by mid september; its for an outdoor thing that im going to be apart of.

Need to loose weight, seem to have the same problem happening over and over again?


Hey Everyone!

I need to loose 20 pounds.
I’m extremely active (I run about an hour a day) but I have a HORRIBLE habit that’s keeping my weight at a stand still (or even having me gain slowly!)

I’ll wake up at 8am and just BINGE (I hate that word, but its what I do!) and have 3 LARGE bowls of cereal (with milk) and then go for my run. I’ll skip lunch because I KNOW I overate at breakfast and then have nothing till supper. Supper is mostly something like a Pita, but nothing HUGE. I want to even out the day properly. Feeling moderately full after supper I watch tv and lay low for the night. THEN I get this horrible urge and find that around 11pm I eat even MORE cereal!!! Everyday after dinner I say to myself over and over again “This is it, no more till tomorrow!” and it never works!!

Every morning I wake up and say to myself “Today I will eat differently!” but then it instantly goes down the toilet and I do the same thing!!!
I find I even spend the day thinking about how stupid I was for overeating in the morning and so its litterly almost as if I’m obsessing over it! Food is always on my mind!

I just go blank when I walk into the kitchen and have no idea what to do!

Anyone know/relate to what I’m talking about?

I need to break this habit.. BUT HOW!? I should be in tip top shape (with all the exercise I’m doing) but I’m not!
Its so discouraging to! I give my workout everything I’ve got and I GAIN WEIGHT the next day because of my horrible eating!
I need some advice guys! I’m starting to get depressed!

Any links to websites, advice or anything would be a great help! I’m almost embarrassed to post this, but I don’t know what else to do!!!!

1 month for toning and losing weight??? Omg guys I need help plzz.?


1. how can I tone my arms really quick by using 2 kg of dumbbells each? What sort of exercise will def help me tone my arms within a month?
2. How many hours and how many times a week should i walk to slim my legs? How long would it take me to see the result? I walk 1 and a half hour, 2-3 times a week? is that good?
3. What sort of healthy food should I eat in the morning, lunch and dinner?
4. 10-15 mins of jump rope? I only use the light rope cuz I don’t have any sort of jump rope, will that help still?

I’m 16, female and I’m about 5’1 and weight about 51-52 kg.
I need to tone my arms and need to lose weight on my legs and def need to tone them up because they are a bit saggy.

I need some tips plz.. I don’t want you to recommend me some diet pills, or gym. I just want to be healthy but lose weight at the same time.

I need help improving my weight and height and physical appearance.?


Here is some background…

I’m currently a 15 year old male, I will be 16 this Feb 2nd 2010.
I am Caucasian, my nationality is Calabrese (Southern Italian of Reggio di Calabria)
I have wavy dark hair, people mistake it as black when it is really dark brown. Kinda course texture, so i use a leave-in conditioner to leave it nice and smooth.
I have brown eyes
olive colored skin slightly fair skin in the winter, and more tan/olive in the summer.

Plain and simple I’m an Italian, Guido etc. whatever!

I used to be thinner but between the ages of 12-15 I have gained weight alot so I went from 100 pounds to now 180

I’m not thrilled about my weight, I want to lose like 40-50 pounds, get ride of my love handles, my butt and thighs, belly more flat etc.

I’m ashamed to take my shirt off when Im at the beach.

I’d like to improve my muscle tone, but I’m happy with what I have. although I do have some stretch marks on my upper arms what can you do about those oh well, you cant see them when im wearing a shirt.

I have a height of approx. 5 feet and 3 inches, or 63.6 inches.

I want to be taller, my best friend who is like a little brother to me (13 yrs. turning 14 in March) is almost my height, he used to be shorter than me last year, he is growing like a weed, then again he is much thinner than i am. This is embarrassing and I don’t want him to pas me up.

Here are some steps that I have taken to help me lose weight;
-drink more water
-drink water w/ fiber supplement before going to bed
-fat burning pills and carbohydrate burning pills in the morning to help control cravings and appetite.
-I try to eat less or no desserts
-sit up straight in-stead of hunch.
-instead of drinking soda i drink more orange juice/ cranberry juice/water and sometimes diet soda.
-before winter i rode my bike and/or walked for at least 3 miles around my neighborhood after school.
-i don’t do sports b/c i work and i have lost interest
-the only sports i used to do is competitive swimming

Here is an important question…does exercise/weight loss help you to grow?
I don’t think I have had much of a growth spurt at all.

So please give me some tips to improve my weight and height

Also another important detail, not only is it difficult for me to lose weight b/c of my appetite which im trying to limit, I take prescribed medications by my doctor and psychiatrist for my newly formed depression which i have been suffering with for a year now. I have been on medications such as Lexapro & Seroquil which made me gain excessive weight from June 2009-present up to 50 pounds and I have told my doctor Im un-satisfied with the meds b/c of weight gain and they simply don’t help me, so now I’m on Wellbutrin.

This is a very personal and touchy subject please treat this with respect and sensitivity.

Losing Weight is Hard, Need Help!?


Because I’m at school and working (not as much as I used to but I run around with children for about eight hours a week) I am finding it hard to stick to any kind of exercise plan. I walk about half an hour a day (which I know I should walk more but have a hard time finding the time) and recently have started doing some tone ups in the morning before class. (including squats, lunges, crunches, push ups) Because I don’t have weights with me, I use two bottles of one liter water filled bottles.

What I guess I’m asking is this is decent enough to shed a few pounds? I watch what I eat and drink plenty of liquids (no sodas at all). Any other tips out there for me?

I’m 5’3″ roughly 130 pounds. I want to lose around 15-20 pounds but am in no rush to do so. Thanks again.
