How can I loose a stone the HEALTHY way?


Hey, Im 15, 5″6 and 140 pounds, 26 waist, 34 hips but 38 bum. I know this is an average weight but it is a bit on the heavy size.
My goalish weight and measurements is 125 pounds, a 24 inch waist, 32 inch hips and 36 bum.
MY PLAN SO FAR:
*First 2 weeks elimate all sweets and junk food after that allow one treat on Sundays
*Run in the mornings for 25 mins 5 days a week and go on an hour bike ride on sundays I also walk home from school with a heavy backpack (45 mins), thats about 500 calories a day burned ish.
*Do some toning exercises everyday such as crunches, squats etc :)
*Sleep about 8-9 hours every night
*Drink 2 litres of water a day

I however dont know how much to restrict my eating.
My final exams are soon so I need a balanced diet for my brain to function properly. Realisticly I know I cant keep to a 1200 diet.

ANY OTHER TIPS?

i want to loose weight, please help!?


i’m 14 and right now i’m about 132 lbs. [i used to be over 140] i’m 5’5” and about a size 5 [in most jean brands] and my goal size has been a 1/3 for a while, and i want to be that size by mid/end of summer 2009.
so far i lost a few pounds by not eating much after 6 pm, drinking alot of water, trying to eat healthier,less & every 2-3 hours.
during the school year i have seriously NO WAY to exercise, except on sundays [i stay the weekend at my grandmas & she has a tredmill, but i have a thing where i can ONLY exercise when im home alone for a long period of time, which is sunday mornings]
so what should i do? i know exercising is a huge part of losing weight!

i need GOOD tips & advice on how to lose weight & get a flat stomach! what should i eat & not eat, & anything else to help me lose some lbs [without exercising regularly]

my mom went from in the 140′s to 115 in 4 months, i know it sounds unhealthy, but she just cut out carbs & sugar and said she eats fat & protein..plus she only eats a little bit.
please dont tell me ‘your weight is fine, dont lose weight’ because 1. thats not stopping me. 2. i will be ALOT more confident and happy if i lose weight 3. i will look alot BETTER if i did.

Need to loose weight, seem to have the same problem happening over and over again?


Hey Everyone!

I need to loose 20 pounds.
I’m extremely active (I run about an hour a day) but I have a HORRIBLE habit that’s keeping my weight at a stand still (or even having me gain slowly!)

I’ll wake up at 8am and just BINGE (I hate that word, but its what I do!) and have 3 LARGE bowls of cereal (with milk) and then go for my run. I’ll skip lunch because I KNOW I overate at breakfast and then have nothing till supper. Supper is mostly something like a Pita, but nothing HUGE. I want to even out the day properly. Feeling moderately full after supper I watch tv and lay low for the night. THEN I get this horrible urge and find that around 11pm I eat even MORE cereal!!! Everyday after dinner I say to myself over and over again “This is it, no more till tomorrow!” and it never works!!

Every morning I wake up and say to myself “Today I will eat differently!” but then it instantly goes down the toilet and I do the same thing!!!
I find I even spend the day thinking about how stupid I was for overeating in the morning and so its litterly almost as if I’m obsessing over it! Food is always on my mind!

I just go blank when I walk into the kitchen and have no idea what to do!

Anyone know/relate to what I’m talking about?

I need to break this habit.. BUT HOW!? I should be in tip top shape (with all the exercise I’m doing) but I’m not!
Its so discouraging to! I give my workout everything I’ve got and I GAIN WEIGHT the next day because of my horrible eating!
I need some advice guys! I’m starting to get depressed!

Any links to websites, advice or anything would be a great help! I’m almost embarrassed to post this, but I don’t know what else to do!!!!

Trying to loose weight?


I’m 5’7”, 16 years old, and weigh 135. I want to get down to 125 by the end of May, and 120 by the beginning of August. I’ve started running 2-4 miles a day, about two weeks ago, and I eat about 1000-1300 calories a day. Am I going about this the right way? Will I loose it in time? Any tips?

Also, if I do intervals exercises for two sets (one in the morning one in the evening) of twenty minutes, would that burn more fat/weight than one set of thirty minutes? Just wondering.

will i loose the weight i want by doing this?


i’m 14 and right now i’m 5’5” about a size 5/7 [in hollister jeans] and a 4 in abercrombie and i’m around 135-140ish lbs. my goal size is about a size 1/3, which would probably make me have to be about 120 lbs.
now before you tell me “your body is fine, dont lose weight” i will be ALOT happier and way more confident if i get to my goal size!!!!
so right now i basically have NO time or way to exercise, but by summertime i’ll be staying at my grandmas where i can exercise alot. so if i exercise and eat like this, will i get to my goal size by the end of summer?

exercise:
- 30 minutes on the tredmill every other day, with stretches and ab workouts.
- cardio and other workouts on the days inbetween [NOT including weekends] like hulahooping, tae bo, jump roping, etc.
and besides that i spend alot of time outside walking, biking, and in the morning i can do jogs around my grandparents backyard because its huge.

and for eating, i’ll watch what i eat and how much. avoid carbs and unhealthy things.

do you think i’ll be about a size 1/3 by the end of summer if i do that ‘diet’ i created?

any other tips or advice is welcome (:

i also am REALLY going to be working to get a flat stomach! because right now my stomach is really chubby and when i wear jeans i always have the worst ‘muffin top’ and i really want to get rid of that!
what are some good exercises to help get rid of stomach fat and ‘muffin top’?

How can I loose weight faster, and better?


I’m 5”3, and I’m 160 pounds. I’m home schooled, so I go to bed around midnight, and I wake up at around eleven in the morning the next day. I eat a bowl of multi-grain cheerios in the morning (with milk, and no sugar), some fat free/calorie free yogurt, and a cup of green tea and milk with out sugar. I exercise for about thirty minutes after I eat, and after doing so I drink a glass of water, and I enjoy a banana, and some yogurt. For dinner, I don’t get to choose my meal. My grandmother, or father cooks a meat, vegetable, and we often have mashed potatoes with that. Sometimes we eat other things, but often the food is quite fattening, so after dinner I drink a glass of water, and exercise for at least 40 minutes, drinking another glass of water after that. I’m slowly losing weight with this way of dieting, I used to eat way more fattening foods, and treats, I’ve cut back. Also, I used to sit around and complete work at home, watch TV, and play on the computer with out exercising at all (I used to be 180 pounds). Now I exercise twice a day (treadmill, jumping jacks, stretching), and I drink more water, and eat way more healthy foods as well.

I’m just wondering, what can improve, or help me with my weight loss?
My goal is 120 pounds, so please help out as much as possible.
Tips are welcomed, just please put effort in your answer.

should this help me loose weight?


i’m 15, 5’4 or 5’5, and around 146 pounds. i’ve been struggling with my weight forever. i’m the kind of person that isn’t visibly fat until you wear a bathing suit or something. i’m not just another teenager trying to become a twig, because that’s not what i want. i know for a fact i’m slightly over weight and i want to do something the healthy way to fix that.

when i went grocery shopping i bought 4 mini corn on the cobs, steamable peas, steamable califlower, and steamable broccoli. i also bought kozy shack rice pudding as something to snack on, and yes i checked the calories.i bought mini gatorades and waters, i bought carrots, bananas, and two packs of low fat chicken breast. some other stuff probally but i can’t remember.

for exercise i usually ride my bike two miles in the morning and two miles at night. but today since there was nothing else to do i biked twice that. why not?

will this help me loose the weight i want to loose? i’m willing to be patient. any other tips or suggestions you have would be appreciated : ) thaaaank you

is there anyway i can loose 10 pounds in 4 weeks?


i weight around 149 pounds at the moment and want to loose around 10 pound i am 14 so i cant go to the gym and i haven’t got alot of money what foods should i avoid and what should i eat more of or should i take tablets also what exercise is good to do ill do it in the morning before i go to school and after if that would work? just need some tips and i dont want to go on a crazy diet that will slow my metabolism im a size 12/14 at the moment and i would love to be a size 10 and i will stick to it if it has work with you or someone you know :) thankyou x

How do I loose my muffin top?


Hello everyone!
I’m 15, 5’9″ (175cm) and about (85.5kg) 188lbs. I wear size 14 but I used to be size 10, then 12, now 14 almost 16! and I don’t know why I am gaining so much weight in such little time (just under 2 years!).

What are some tips for getting back to a size 10? I have a lot of time like every morning, afternoon and night to exercise – but everything I do never makes me loose weight. What are some foods I should also eat more/less of?

I need to loose weight with a diet… but with little or no exercise.?


I’m 14 years old, 5’4″, and 170 pounds. I have some muscle mass but I could still stand to lose 30 or 40 pounds.

As it stands I have a decent breakfast around 1/2 mornings. In school, I have the regular school lunch. In the evening, around 8 PM usually, we have pretty extraordinarily high amounts of starchy foods and carbs. Usually pasta. I think my problems are that 1) My family eats extremely starchy foods very often 2) I tend to overeat afterschool, often in amounts large enough to be an entire meal and 3) on weekends I eat when I’m bored, not when I’m hungry.

First of all, I need to balance when I’m going to eat and when I’m not to get into a habit. I need tips on what habit to get into and how, and how to avoid overeating and eating when I shouldn’t.
