Hey, Im 15, 5″6 and 140 pounds, 26 waist, 34 hips but 38 bum. I know this is an average weight but it is a bit on the heavy size.
My goalish weight and measurements is 125 pounds, a 24 inch waist, 32 inch hips and 36 bum.
MY PLAN SO FAR:
*First 2 weeks elimate all sweets and junk food after that allow one treat on Sundays
*Run in the mornings for 25 mins 5 days a week and go on an hour bike ride on sundays I also walk home from school with a heavy backpack (45 mins), thats about 500 calories a day burned ish.
*Do some toning exercises everyday such as crunches, squats etc :)
*Sleep about 8-9 hours every night
*Drink 2 litres of water a day

I however dont know how much to restrict my eating.
My final exams are soon so I need a balanced diet for my brain to function properly. Realisticly I know I cant keep to a 1200 diet.

ANY OTHER TIPS?

What’s a healthy calorie intake?

I’m 14 years old (DON’T GIVE ME A LECTURE!!) and I AM overweight.
I need to lose weight by June… I hate not being able to swim because of my weight. I weigh 159 lbs. and am 5’8″
I don’t care what people say about me being too young, but my PE teacher and lots of tests and calculators classify me as “OVERWEIGHT”
In the past few days I’ve been taking in about 500 calories or less to lose weight… NOT HEALTHY. Yes, I know. So I want a number to tell me how much is healthy but will still allow me to lose weight. Oh– and I DO exercise. 3-4 times a week for 1 hour and 30 minutes. And I do a few in the morning.

So, PLEASE, don’t give me sh*t about being too young, just give me some estimates on the question, and possibly a few tips.
I’m willing to do anything, but I hate anorexia. I refuse to become a bag of bones.
I’m eating healthy foods. Fruits, veggies, and protein rich food.

I’m doing lots of cardio too. And sit ups and leg stuff.
Candace: That website you gave me says I’m overweight too…

Healthy lifestyle?

I don’t want to become anorexic or anything LOL but how can I fit some exercise into my day, I wake up at about 7:45am in weekdays which doesn’t leave me much time to get ready, and then lunch at school is at about 1pm, I get home at about 4pm and eat something and my dinner is usually ready by about 6:30, so I haven’t really got any time in between meals for me to exercise. Oh and I also can’t get to sleep at night which means it’s really hard for me to get up in the morning I normally get to sleep at about 3 in the morning. And I have no idea where to start with some healthy eating! Lol it’s probably a lot to answer but even a few tips could help, Thanks for everyone who answers!

Healthy habits please?

I know a lot of people posted similar questions but I really need to get more motivated, and the more tips, the better! I am a female, 25 and overweight (I have the thyroid disease which does’t help with my metabolism). Anyway, I am a college student and until the summer I was trying to exercise, eat healthy, etc. I got a job a month ago 9-5 and I take evening classes after work 3 times a week until 8pm. Here is the point: I can’t go to the gym as often as I used to and I am trying to walk instead of taking the bus, etc. Small things of course, but better than nothing! So I sit down most part of the day because of my job and I know that if I keep going like this I will gain weight. Another thing is that I force myself to eat breakfast in the morning because I don’t wake up hungry at all (low fat milk with honey nut Cheerios or Cornflakes). At lunch I bring to the office something small and light, which I cook at home. When it’s dinner time I eat more than I should. And I like to eat carbs, which I not I should limit that.
I would like to know how to speed up my metabolism, I really don’t feel like eating in the morning until early afternoon but I will do it of course, if it means to eat small healthy foods 4-6 times a day. And any advices on a balanced and healthy diet would be very appreciated. I am looking online as well, but the more I know about how to do and maintain a healthy lifestyle, the better! Thanks a lot.
I forgot to say that I am not into sugary foods (I eat cereal in the morning only because I thought it wasn’t that unhealthy). I don’t drink sodas, only water and low fat milk for breakfast in the morning. I’d like to snack on something not sweet

Healthy dieting and weight loss help?

Okay so I am about 5’4, I’m a young teen, and weigh about 120 lbs. I’m really looking for good tips on eating and any exercise that may help. I exercise twice a week and I’m about to start running an additional one maybe two times a week. My problem is that the weight won’t come off. Some may argue that I’m at a healthy weight because of my height but so far I have “love handles”, a large stomach, and thin legs. I also have a size 11 shoe in women’s, so I know I’m still growing.

If it helps I usually eat frosted flakes in the morning with 2% milk, a small lunch, and I eat too much at home.

Any and all tips are well appreciated!

Top Five Tips to Staying Healthy in the Festive Season

This is a time of year where it can be easy to over-indulge. Who can resist splashing out on festive foods, enjoying the celebrations whilsts taking a break for a few days? This is also the time of year where it is easy to fall out of your normal exercise routine or eat more than your fair share of holiday treats. So, here are my tips for staying healthy in the holiday season.

1. Avoid Snacking or Over-Eating

One of the big risks during the holiday season is over-eating. When you are enjoying tasty and delicious festive food, it is very difficult to show restraint. Often we end up eating a lot more than our fill and I know that in my family home, I am expected to! The challenge is that this is where the problem can begin.

My tips are to try and avoid eating large meals at other points during the day. This can be hard if you are visiting more than one household but do your best. The other tip is that I try to avoid eating between meals. Given the amount that I have eaten over lunch or dinner, there is limited need for much more during the day. Even if I get a bit hungry between meals, I will resist the urge as much as possible or stick to fruit rather than anything more substantial.

2. Take Breaks During Your Meals

It can help to take a rest during your meal so you can register whether your stomach is becoming full. This is probably just a good habit in general but the nature of festive food means that you can be left feeling bloated and a bit ill if you over-indulge. I take short breaks during my meal to give my body a chance to register how much food is in my stomach before I have another helping. I personally have the habit of eating without pause, so it helps me to remember that a short break every now and again will not do me any harm at all.

3. Alcohol Free Days

When you are celebrating the festive season, attending parties and catching up with loved ones is normally part of the package. Alcohol free days are a way of managing your calories and trying to give your body a chance to recover between celebrations. When we drink we consume both the calories in the alcohol but also tend to eat more of the wrong foods as well. This helps to maintain the right balance between celebration and over-indulgence as well as avoiding a sore head in the morning.

4. Do Some Light Exercise After A Big Meal

When you finish your festive meal, it is really tempting to fall asleep. I would suggest trying to have a short break and then taking a walk or some other form of light exercise. It does not need to be too vigorous but will help to keep you moving and start burning some of the calories you have just eaten. Remember that weight management is all about calories in and calories out so you may as well get started straight away. A light walk can also be a lovely activity to share with others or to help you wind down after a big celebration.

5. Pack Your Exercise Gear

If you are traveling over the holidays, the most important thing is to pack your exercise gear. Most people use their holiday break as an excuse not to do any exercise. If you can still maintain thirty minutes a day, even if that is spent walking or playing games with the kids, then you are already doing well. This could also be a great opportunity to break up your regular routine by trying new activities or discovering new things. One of my favourite activities on holiday is to go for a run around the place that I am visiting whilst everyone is still waking up. It gives me a chance to take a look around and become more familiar with my new surrounds, as well as breaking up my normal running routine.

These are just a few tips to help you stay healthy in the festive season. The important thing to remember though is to have fun and enjoy the time no matter what you are doing. This is a great time to connect with your loved ones which can have an amazing benefit for your wellbeing. Enjoy your rest and feel free to drop me a line if you have any questions.

Healthy Skin Care Tips & Procedures

Do you know how to care for your skin? Unfortunately, skin doesn’t come with an instruction booklet or care instructions. Thankfully, there are some natural skin care tips that can help keep your skin young and supple.

The skin care tips listed in this article may be slightly different from most other skin care tips that you may come across. This is largely due to the fact that these tips are taken from a number of expert sources on skin care and skin care products. Try a few of these tips if you want to experience skin that isn’t itchy, dry, or wrinkled. To begin, let’s talk about a good exfoliation procedure.

Exfoliating your skin is important. You can exfoliate your entire body each morning with the help of one natural brush. As you slough away dead skin cells, your circulation will increase. Use your natural brush to work small circles all over your body in a clockwise manner. Go through this process each morning before stepping into the shower.

Next, try working on your inner body. Begin with drinking lots of water. Most people should drink up to eight glasses of water per day. Also, try and increase the amount of fiber in your diet. Believe it or not, fiber will help to invigorate your digestive system, which will automatically impact your skin. You can find fiber in lots of foods including apples, figs, dates, grains, and lots of vegetables.

Another way to really jumpstart your body is to work on your circulation. Good circulation means showing off a healthy complexion. Massage, exercise, and simple stretching movements (such as yoga) are great for your circulation. As your circulation increases, you will find that your complexion also becomes healthier.

Lastly, don’t cut fat out of your diet completely, but do limit your intake of sugar. Sugar actually speeds up the aging process, though most people aren’t aware of this fact. Attempt to cut back on your sugar slowly, and then work your way towards cutting sugar completely out of your diet. A good way to ease out of your sugar habit is to start leaving a bit of dessert on your plate every night. Eventually, you won’t want to eat all of that dessert every time.

As far as fats are concerned, eat only those fats that are considered good fats. Your body does need a bit of fat to remain healthy, so don’t cut it out altogether. Instead, focus on foods such as avocados, nuts, and other healthy foods. It may seem hard to believe that nutrition has anything to do with skin care, but it impacts your skin more than you may think.

Keep all of these things in mind every day as you wake up, choose your foods, and work throughout the day. Remember to keep your body moving all day long, increase your circulation, and always find a way to eat properly. Every single thing that you do to your body will directly impact your skin. Natural skin care products will help your body look younger, but you have to play your part too.

If you aspire to get rid of your excess weight effectively by natural means then you must proceed to scanning this article. You can only learn and do so much when it comes to trying to lose weight therefore you need to be putting your focus mainly on the basic primers. There are two basic things that you need to be putting your effort on. One of them is doing a healthy diet regularly. Next is getting into physical exercises regularly. I will be talking about these fundamentals on the succeeding parts of this article. After learning what I am sharing here, you will be able to sweat out your unneeded weight naturally.

Before we go on to talk about specific essential weight loss pointers, let me talk about a few things you need to keep in mind as you immerse yourself in a journey to lose excess weight in your body. This won’t require you in any active weight loss programs out there. First, it is essential to remember that there is no such thing as magic pill. Citizens who would resort to those things are those who are have no patience. Being successful at getting in good shape will demand effort but don’t be disappointed because it does not need to be difficult. It is actually fun for the most part.

Food consumption or diet is one of the necessary things you need to work on if you desire to get rid of unwanted weight and become a person in good shape. Unfortunately, most individuals neglect having a healthy diet. That is the assumption on why a lot of individuals are not fit. For the purpose of getting rid of excess weight, restrain from consuming excessive amount of calories. They boost the storage of fat in your body. Which means the more calories you eat the more fat you store in your body. Eat lots of vegetables and fruits to boost your metabolism.

After working on having a healthy diet, you need to exercise on a habitual basis if you aspire to lose those unneeded fats in your body and have yourself in good fitness condition. To get started, one thing you can do is to get out of the bed early in the morning for a healthy jog. This helps you sweat out fat in your body. If you can’t get out of the bed in the morning, try other cardiovascular training such as get on the treadmill and go cycling.

Including these pointers in your everday habits may be hard for you but it will give you gains that you will be glad to have such as a in shape body and a healthy way of living. Remember to cut back on consuming foods that can push your body to get fat. Make it a point that you exercise regularly so you get yourself in a healthy condition. Follow the tips above and you will be effective at losing unwanted weight.
