Help! How do I fall asleep when I’m not used to sleeping early?


Okay, so I’ve been waking up pretty late these past couple of days (around 10-11:00 in the morning) and I hate it! I really wish I could wake up early in the morning (like around 4-5:00 AM) because I have some schoolwork that I need to finish before the summer’s over, and I feel like the morning is the best time to work (when everyone’s asleep and the house is quiet and peaceful). The thing is though, I’m used to sleeping at 1 or 2 o’clock at night, so when I try to sleep early (like around 9-10:00 PM), I have a hard time getting myself to fall asleep. I really need to start waking up earlier, so does anyone have any tips on how to adjust my internal clock system to sleeping at 9:30ish PM and waking up at 4-5:00 AM? I know I need an average of about 6 to 7 hours of sleep, which is why I want to fall asleep around 9.

I’ve already heard of taking warm drinks like chamomile tea and warm milk and exercising before bed, but any other BENEFICIAL tips would be helpful as well.

Can I and how can I lose 15lbs by late July or early August?


I want to build muscle and I realize that muscle will show up on the scale so I may not lose as much, but it’ll probably show up by seeing it, not by what the scale says or whatever.

But, here’s my plan and tell me if this is good and what I should change.

First thing when I get up in the morning after I brush my teeth and all that, walk on the treadmill 3.0mph for one hour.

Then, for breakfast:
2eggs, one piece of torn up smoked turkey meat (Oscar Meyer Deli Creations???) and one slice of cheese on top.

OR

One plain Bagel and Philadelphia Strawberry junk on the bagel

For lunch, 1cup of whatever as long as it’s not like terrible?

Then, before dinner, a half cup snack (or less)

And then, (I’m 13, if you’re going to lecture me, don’t even answer, my mom knows, she’s not pressuring me, I’m not going into an eating disorder, I’m an average weight and I want to lose some weight so I can feel good school clothe shopping) before dinner, my mom said like 3days a week she can take me to the apt. gym to use the automatic stairstepper (which I did last summer too and for one hour it would say 1000 somethin’ calories for level twelve) for 30mins to one hour.

Then for dinner, another cup.

My mom helped me plan this b/c she told me what worked for her and she lost 90lbs in one year.
She also said that between breakfast and lunch she’d drink 1/2 cup of anything of choice that wasn’t water.

I plan on not drinking cokes at all (I drink a lot of water).

But also, being summer I want to eat somewhat freely, so I plan on the weekends to live a little and still watch myself, not eat crazily, but maybe not exercise on weekends.

Is this good, would it work? Also, any tips or things to change?

Motivation to get up early?


Okay so during the summer I would usually get up earlier than usual so i could exercise and then do what i wanted the rest of the day. Ive tried to do it during the school year but its hard when you work late to get ur butt out of bed earlier than you have to just ot exercise. I usually get up 630 or 7 for school, and id like to get up at 6 so i can get in a bit of exercise to get my morning going, problem is that i know i dont have to, so i just want to hit snooze. I just need some good motivation to actually get up. Any Tips?

I can’t seem to wake up early to work out…help??


I really want to lose weight and I hear the best time to exercise is before breakfast. I’m not really a morning person and I usually wake up at 6:45AM to get ready, but I can’t seem to get up early(like 5AM) and work out. Tips?

I also have little energy throughout the day and I know exercise will help me. Any advice, or tips for getting more motivated will be greatly appreciated! THANKS!

How I can I get motivation to workout early in the morning?


I am 26 and I currently work two jobs neither of which are the best for my health. My first job is a secretary during the day then 4-5 nights a week I wait tables. I miss working out so much but I can’t get out of bed in the morning after working such long days (most of the time I don’t get home until midnight or later). When I wait tables I barely have time to eat right because its all restaurant food (i.e. fries) or I have to eat so fast because I have tables to watch. And there are always the after shift drinks which don’t help either. If anyone has any pointers on desk exercises, things to eat in a restaurant, or any other tips it would be great.

how do i get up for early morning runs?


ok, i’m sixteen, and i’ve got this problem. i want to get up for early morning runs every day, but even when i go to bed at around 7:30-8:30, i always seem to stay up until 10. and i can’t wake up at 4:45 for a run.

so, i want to lose around 25 pounds in maybe 3 months or so, i’m around 6’2″ and i’m around 230 pounds. any diet tips or exercises to help lose fat and gain muscle will be really helpful.
about the “set the alarm” thing. my problem is getting to sleep. see, i usually need ALOT of sleep. last time i went out for a run with only seven hours of sleep, i almost fell asleep while running xD.

how can i wake up early in the morning.?..kindly help, its ver essential for me…..?


im actually weighing more ….i started weight lose programme also…(that means not exercise but skipping the breakfast andlunch ,drinking one nutritional mix..in that time..) no issues in that …but i want to lose around 15- 20 kgs in the next 100 days means…..i want to do exercise

in evening i find my shlf very tired ( as im skipping meals) morning if i started doing exercise only i can reduce faster …but im sleeping nicely in the morning …till 8 ’0 clock…kindly give me tips so that i i will get up early…im sleeping late night (12- 1 am)

I can’t get up early in the morning………………………..Why ?


Doesn’t matter, at what time i will seep , but i am not able to get up early in the morning. I am doing exercise in the evening and going to the gym in the evening b’coz of that problem.

Please , give me some tips to get up early in the morning.

What are some early morning exercises before class ?


this semester i have set a goal to lose weight and feel great lol.
n e ways , @ 6 am ill be going to the gym on campus and wanted to get some tips on exercises for a beginner. i would like to work on my tummy, back fat (lol) thighs and my booty . as of right now im only comfortable with walking on the treadmill and spinning on the bike but its time 4 me to broaden my horizans
o yea what are some foods and snacks that will keep me fuller longer. during the school year i eat every hour before, after, or during class becuz my stomach likes to growwl funny thing is it wont growl on days off and sometimes i can wait till 10 am lol

how to have the energy to to get up and exercise early?


i really want to start getting up around 4:30 each morning but i just dont have the energy or will power to do so. what are some tips to be able to get up each morning. also if you have some tips for weight loss for someone who doesnt have much time to work out.
